Do London Differently Podcast
August 2025
Following the release of these resources to help teach about London National Park City and projects helping to make the city greener, wilder and healthier, I sat down with Director Mark Cridge to chat about how we can use these resources to ‘Do London Differently’.
In this podcast we discussed the lack of space for nature in our current curriculums and how we can work to make space in our teaching. We discussed the idea that we’ve (possibly) gone too global in our geography curriculums and thus lost the space for the local and hyper-local. We discussed the thinking behind the LNPC fact files that we’ve created and how these can be used in the classroom. Finally, we discussed the need for hope in our geography curriculums (inspired by the work of David Alcock and recent article by Mark Enser) and how these resources play a small part in helping us teach about making London greener, healthier and wilder in a hopeful way.
