OUP Webinars: Curriculum Coherence

Across the academic year of 2021-2022, I delivered a series of 3 different webinars for Oxford University Press about achieving curriculum coherence in geography.

In Part 1, we considered Key Stage 3 curriculum at the broadest scale. What might a coherent geography curriculum look like and how can you work to achieve this? How can a coherent curriculum ensure that every lesson counts and student progress is maximised? To watch Part 1, click here.

Part 2 zoomed into the schemes of work that make up the Key Stage 3 curriculum journey. What does an effective scheme of work look like? How can links be drawn within and between topics? Part 2 can be accessed here.

In the third and final part of the webinar series, I looked at the tools we can use in the delivery of our geography lessons everyday. We considered what a good ‘Do Now’ task in geography might look like, how textbooks can be used effectively in the classroom and finally, the power of mini whiteboards. Part 3 can be watched here.
