October 2026

17th October: LNPC Festival
On Saturday 17th October, I joined Rangers from across the London National Park City network for the inaugural LNPC Festival in Pimlico, London. There, I had a spot on the education table in the ‘Market Place’ exhibition where Rangers and organisations shared their work and projects. I was sharing the resources that I wrote in August 2025 to help geography teachers include LNPC examples into their teaching- particularly for the urban greening section of the AQA GCSE Geography course. These resources can be downloaded for free here!

15th October: Free map resources from World Stroll
Having read my blog on how to start Year 7, the World Stroll team reached out to make me aware of their work to provide high-quality blank map PDFs for geography teachers. A variety of different resources can be downloaded for free here and so it’s a website well worth book-marking for your map needs!

1st October: Is Britain still a great power? on the Radical Podcast
I last shared a particularly geographical episode of the Radical podcast in June but regularly look through the back-catalogue to see if there are any episodes of particular interest. Upon spotting this episode from late August, I knew I had to listen for my own general interest and for my Edexcel A-Level Geography Superpowers subject knowledge. It is a fascinating listen and debate with plenty to take away and reference in the classroom. For resources to support with teaching the Superpowers topic, look here and here.
